Form Me
Form Me was the first augmented reality performance piece, debuting at WOW Cafe Theater in 2016. The work explores trans physicality.
Combining live performance, augmented reality, physical computing, projection, and audio narrative into a new body.
Fae augments faerself both physically and in virtual space with paint, ink, blood, tracking images, video overlays, 3D models, and other media. As the piece progresses faer physical body becomes distorted, covered in the construction and destruction of faer augments.
All tracking images come from trans artists, and they are worn and consumed as armor and energy. Fae destroys physical designations of body and alters faer projected counterpart in so doing. Fae became progressively more destroyed through the violence that often comes with building and destroying identity.
