Playing the Victim



Remember How It Hurt also exists as part of an interactive sculpture piece entitled Playing the Victim, which explores rape & transphobia/homophobia through 5 distinct audio narratives.
The sculpture is a mask treated with ink, spray paint, & fire. The mask face is covered in metal bits (halves of a screw, blade, and penny) wired.
On the sculpture, the various audio pieces are triggered when a user touches the wired metal.
The mask can be seen below.
